“Re—present” - Art acquisitions by the state of Saxony-Anhalt over the past 35 years

Welcome: Rainer Robra, Minister of State and Minister of Culture of the State of Saxony-Anhalt and Manon Bursian, Director of the Saxony-Anhalt Art Foundation.
Afterwards, curators Anne Kaden and Magdalena Meißner will introduce the exhibition.

In order to support art production in the state of Saxony-Anhalt, art purchases – selected by an independent art advisory board – have been made for almost 35 years. For the first time, the State Chancellery and Ministry of Culture of Saxony-Anhalt are showing a selection of the purchased works in a joint exhibition at the Art Foundation: ‘Re—present’ is a curated journey through time, exploring artistic positions in Saxony-Anhalt from 1991 to the present day — not in a linear fashion, but as a polyphonic juxtaposition.
